Hygienist 4 Hounds, LLC
Non-Sedation Pet Dental Cleanings

Hygienist 4 Hounds, LLC!
At Hygienist4Hounds, we’re passionate about protecting the health and happiness of your furry companions — starting with their smile.
Just like humans, dogs need regular dental care to prevent bad breath, tooth decay, gum disease, and more serious conditions like heart and kidney disease. Poor oral health doesn’t just affect their teeth — it can impact their entire body.
Through our gentle, effective cleanings, we help keep your dog's mouth healthy and their breath fresh — so they can enjoy a longer, happier life by your side. Our mission is simple: to support your fur baby's well-being through safe, compassionate dental care you can trust.
Because a healthy smile leads to a healthy pup.
Meet Your Hygienist!

Meet Your Pet’s Dental Care Expert
Hi, I’m a Certified Registered Dental Hygienist with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH) from Central Michigan University and over 32 years of clinical experience in human dentistry. I hold active dental licenses in both Florida and Michigan, and I’m also certified in Local Anesthesia through the University of Michigan.
While I won’t be using anesthetic during pet cleanings, you can be assured your pet is in experienced, gentle hands. My years of training have given me the skill, precision, and tactile sensitivity to safely remove tartar and plaque — especially below the gumline — where harmful bacteria often hide.
Dental care is more than just fresh breath. Left untreated, gum disease in pets can lead to tooth loss, infection, and even serious health issues like heart and kidney disease. My approach is preventive, thorough, and compassionate — always putting your pet’s safety and comfort first.
And as a lifelong animal lover and proud owner of four pets myself, I understand how much they mean to you. That’s why I treat every pet as if they were my own.
Trust your pet’s smile to a true dental professional.
Because they deserve expert care — without stress, fear, or unnecessary procedures.
Hi, I'm Susan!
Did you know that pets can suffer from the same dental problems as humans — including tartar buildup, gum disease, and tooth loss?
While many pet dental services focus on surface-level cleaning, truly effective oral care goes deeper. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, I bring years of specialized training and hands-on experience to ensure your pet receives the highest standard of dental care — safely and comfortably.
Why Choose a Dental Hygienist for Your Pet's Teeth Cleaning?
Unlike quick cleanings performed by unlicensed providers, my services include:
-
Advanced Scaling Techniques
I use precision hand instruments to thoroughly remove plaque and tartar — including the disease-causing buildup below the gumline that’s often missed. -
Expert Detection of Dental Issues
With refined tactile sensitivity developed through years of clinical practice, I can distinguish between healthy tooth structure, tartar, and early signs of decay — helping to catch issues before they become serious. -
Gentle, Compassionate Care
Pets can't tell us when they're in pain. That’s why skilled, gentle treatment is essential. My approach minimizes stress and discomfort while maximizing your pet’s comfort and safety. -
Whole-Health Focus
Oral bacteria can enter the bloodstream and affect your pet’s heart, kidneys, and overall health. Preventive dental care is one of the most important steps you can take to support your pet’s long-term well-being. -
A Healthier Smile, A Healthier Pet
Whether you're concerned about bad breath, visible tartar, or just want to keep your pet’s mouth healthy, I offer a professional, thorough, and compassionate approach to pet dental cleanings.
Give your pet the expert care they deserve — because a clean mouth is more than cosmetic, it’s a foundation for overall health.
